Playing On Other Players
One of the coolest features of Eye-C is that you can take the songs and videos from any of your friends, feeds, or taglists, and play it on other screens, including connected TVs, Apple TV, home theater and stereo receivers, set top boxes, and more. The process is a little different on iOS and Android, but this article will help you learn the steps. When you've tried it once, it will be a cinch from then on – impress your friends by playing on their systems when you visit.
iOS 5
1. Find something you'd like to watch or hear. With Eye-C, this should be really easy.
2. Press play.
3. When the playback screen appears, you'll see an action button in the top right of the playback controls. Tap that.
4. Tap Other players
5. Right away, you'll see buttons for Airplay, and the DLNA players will load as they're found. Sometimes, it takes a few seconds to see all the available DLNA players on your network.
Airplay
6. Tap the Airplay button, and you'll see the available Airplay players on your network – this will include the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that you're using right now. Tap the player you want, and you're off to the races. Be sure to come back to the Airplay screen and switch back to your device. Airplay remembers the player you last used, so next time you play something, it will try to play to that device first.
DLNA
6. Tap the button for the player you'd like to use. To get back to the iPad or iPhone you're using for Eye-C, select Airplay, then tap the button for this player.
Android
1. Find something you'd like to watch or listen to. In Eye-C, this can be a video or song, your timeline, a taglist, or a friend's history.
2. From here, you can go two ways.
From the list screen (such as a timeline or taglist)
a. Tap the More button (bottom right) and then tap Play on... You'll then see a list of the players that are available on your network. Tapping a player on this screen will select that player for playing back the list.
b. Press play.
From the playback screen
a. When you press play on any item or list, it will start playing on your phone. Tap the screen to see all the controls.
b. Tap the More button (bottom right), then tap Play on... to see the list of available players. Both DLNA and Airplay players will show up in this list.
c. Selecting a player will switch to that screen. Select My Phone from the Play on... menu to switch back at any time.
